About ME
Hello everyone, my name is Skye and I am a 23 year old travel enthusiast currently located in Texas (for now). I am passionate about seeing the world and experiencing different cultures. Currently, I am finishing my degree in Finance as a graduate student. If you are looking for how to save money and be budget friendly for your trips, I can guide you along. As of now, I have traveled to 22 out of the 50 states, 3 continents, and 8 countries. I plan on growing these numbers as much as I can. Two goals I have are to visit all of the 50 states and every continent (yes, even Antarctica).
My love for travel began by being the daughter of a pilot. Growing up with that as my dad’s profession, I traveled frequently in the United States. Often, I was fortunate enough to get free flights by flying on stand-by for his airline. Traveling with this method was either amazing or a total pain – sometimes I would get on the first flight I wanted with no issues, and other times I would be stuck in the airport for 27 hours. Due to this, I am a pro at navigating airports, packing carry on bags, and befriending the gate agents, all of which will be discussed in my blog.
My desire to travel the world was enforced by the fact that I had seen a lot of the United States, but not much else. Once I was able to travel, my plans were derailed due to Covid-19. All this did was make my desire even stronger since I couldn’t travel for almost two years. Now that restrictions are lifting and traveling is becoming easier, it is my goal to travel as much as I can while I am in my 20s. I love to visit places with my friends and family, but I am also not afraid to tackle solo travel. Sometimes traveling by yourself is the best way to do it because you don’t have to wait on anyone and you get to do exactly what you want.
